ONE estimates the minimum number of mature oocytes needed for obtaining at least one euploid blastocyst.
ONE (Oocyte Number Estimator) is a tool based on the ART Calculator predictive model published by Prof. S. Esteves 1,2. ONE provides personalized information to facilitate treatment expectation discussion, communication and planning between healthcare professionals and patients. The application can be used in two different settings: pre-treatment and post-treatment.
The model estimates the number of mature (MII) oocytes needed to obtain at least one euploid blastocyst for transfer in infertile couples undergoing Assisted Reproductive Technology.
The model computes a revised estimate of probability of obtaining at least one euploid embryo when the number of mature oocytes obtained after one or more oocyte retrieval cycles is provided.
The ONE application offered by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany is not classified as a medical device according to the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF) definition. The ONE application is not intended for clinical, diagnostic, or therapeutic purposes.
